Under the Limit is a blog that makes limitations law fun, or at least keeps its readers apprised of developments in Canadian limitations jurisprudence.
It reports on appellate and lower court decisions from Ontario, and when we’re feeling ambitious, appellate decisions from the common law provinces. If you find that it’s missing a relevant decision, please let us know.
Under the Limit is primarily Dan Zacks. Dan is an author of the third edition of the Law of Limitations, published by LexisNexis, Halsbury’s Laws of Canada, also published by LexisNexis, and Transnational Litigation Guide, published by Thomson Reuters. He practices civil litigation at Zacks Law, with a focus on commercial litigation, coverage litigation, and appellate advocacy. He also specialises in—this will come as a surprise—the law of limitations.
You can contact Dan at dan@zackslaw.ca.
The obligatory caution: Under the Limit provides only an overview of the law and is not legal advice. Readers shouldn’t make decisions based on this blog alone. Do us all a favour and obtain real legal advice. You might even call Dan.
